Château Angélus is taking on counterfeiters. During a promotional event last week in London, Stéphanie de Boüard, owner of the Saint-Émilion estate, showed he had little patience for wine fraud. He announced that since 2014 and onward, every bottle of Angélus has contained an ID chip that can be scanned to reveal the wine’s technical data and can also track where their bottles are being consumed.
