Lot 46, known as Occitanie is a region in France that the author lived in. There are fields of flowers that grow above the ground and many caves below ground. There are canyons and cliffs carved by ancient rivers as well as distinctive architecture with flat tile roofs and white stone walls. The author lived in two parts of the region, on the north end near the town of Gourdon and on the south end near the village of Montcuq.
“From the majestic rivers lined with vineyards to the ancient villages and bastide towns, the stunning châteaux and the fields of sunflowers, the low-key agriculture and characteristic architecture complement the distinctive natural beauty of the region.”
