If you live in the Corsica, Normandy, or Pays-de-la-Loire regions of France, a new medical helpline will be available for use. This helpline will be available after hours, meaning after 8 PM Sunday-Friday, after midday on Saturday, and all day on public holidays. It has been launched as a way to help prevent non-emergency calls to their 15 number, which is used to call an ambulance. If the number is successful in all three regions, then the rest of France will be able to use this number at the end of 2017.
