Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo has ambitions to completely ban petrol cars by the year 2030. Anne Hidalgo’s reasons for doing this is she wants Paris to be a green city. There is also a plan to ban diesel vehicles in 2024. Paris officials are confident that these bans would not be hard to implement. The majority of Parisians, 60 percent do not own a car. Paris has a high air pollution level so officials are eager to get these bands started.
