The Alliance des Crus Bourgeois has announced the 271 chateaux whose wine will be eligible for the Crus Bourgeois du Medoc label for the 2015 vintage.
The Crus Bourgeois du Medoc classification originated in 1932. 444 estates were selected that year. For decades only those original 444 estates were included. The 2008 vintage, which was announced in 2010, was the first under the current system.
The label is expected to be carried on about 32 million bottles of wine.
