As is often the case during the summer in France, lots of transportation infrastructure projects will be occurring in 2017. To begin with, metro renovations and expansions will be closing and rerouting various metro lines throughout Paris. Next, three new bike routes will be being built in Paris this summer, resulting in lane closures and traffic rerouting. Finally, work on improving the quality of sidewalks and roads will also be occurring throughout the city, which will cause detours for both cars and pedestrian traffic. Other transportation improvements will be carried out throughout the country.
